Spartan Women’s Basketball Assists Dominican Sisters with Days for Girls Project

November 13, 2017 By Team Up 4 Community 2 Comments

Sparkill, N.Y. – The St. Thomas Aquinas College Women’s Basketball team partnered with the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill on Tuesday evening in the Days for Girls Project.

The project engages volunteers to create and distribute quality, sustainable feminine hygiene kits and health education to women and girls around the globe in need, creating a more dignified, free and educated world. Girls without access to sanitary supplies face days without school, income and leaving their homes, often leading to a never ending cycle of harmful realities. This project provides a unique volunteer opportunity aimed at helping every girl, everywhere.

We are so glad to have many young ladies from STAC, both athletes and non athletes, joining us at Dominican Convent for this important project! The energy in the room is always incredible. Looking forward to the next meet this evening!
